Two New Projects.

I will be unveiling two new projects this next month here on DisciplesX.

One of these will be a discussion and resource site for churches and non-profits on a tight budget but looking to upgrade or utilize older equipment on the cheap. I will be exploring the option that open source software presents for such congregations and agencies. Open Source software is free, usually very stable and secure. It runs pretty well on older hardware too, allowing you to keep those old hand-me-down machines working instead of plunking down hundreds of dollars on new hardware. I may make this an offshoot of the site, something like cheapdigital.disciplesx.com - but that's not active yet.

The second project will be my new monthly Video Podcast, supported by Disciples Center for Public Witness. It will be a short (five to ten minute) video series of interesting people and events in the DC area - it's focus will be perfect to serve as a launcher to conversation about justice, politics, economics, and culture for a young adult or discussion group. I hope to have the first one done by early November. Look for it here.
