Live From Ebenezers!

4:38 PM - April 24, 2007

This will be my last update from here. Unfortunately, the internet went out for a while, as well as the server hosting disciplesx.com went out. Oh well, that’s life. We’ve had some interesting people come by, and we are thankful for that.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was a huge success. We had easily over 100 people here for the event. We had special guests speak on the situation in North Korea, on North Korean refuges, on Japanese abductees, and more. Camera and news reporters took notes and filmed the proceedings (hopefully, you can catch some of that later). It was a great success to have the exhibit here on Capitol Hill.

We are still open two days, so if you can make it by, please do so. I’ll try to have a little bit of video up later.

Noon - April 24, 2007

Congressman Ed Royce took the stage to share his experiences and the work that is being done to raise the issue of North Korean refugees. He speaks of the need for an international effort to raise the conversation of human rights in North Korea. With over 2 million human beings dead, “2 million souls”, we must act.

Today, I will be posting some updates from Ebenezers Coffeehouse, as events unfold surrounding the North Korean Genocide Exhibit ribbon cutting ceremony. I’ll even have some pictures and quotes if I can get it. Eunice is going with me, and since there is free internet, this should be a cinch.
